Summertime Fashion Police

The aptly-named Ridiculous Clothing has a, well, I’m not entirely sure about this, but I think it’s a flaw-hiding bikini top for a woman who wants to show off her stomach while hiding unsightly rib-cage chub.

Elle of The Demoiselles describes it this way:

For that (Mon)day when you were at the pool, and that 6 year old b!tch, Susie, had the same swimsuit as you.
So you stole it and wore it as a top.
[in case you’re wondering, this product is sold out and $410]

I love the way Elle calls it “this product”, as though she can’t quite bring herself to call it a top.

What do you think? Time for the fashion police to make an arrest? Or could this be saved with the right accessories? (And no, putting a sweater on over it does not count as saving this look with accessories!) Let us know!

The “All-Purpose Jumpsuit”

TeamSugar posted some hilarious fashions from a ‘77 JCPenney Catalog from 1977 on TeamSugar. I don’t know what you say about a mustard-yellow jumpsuit, besides “no thanks,” but TeamSugar says:

This “all purpose jumpsuit” is, according to the description, equally appropriate for playing golf or simply relaxing around the house. Personally, I can’t see wearing this unless you happen to be relaxing around your cell in D-block. Even then, the only reason you should put this thing on is because the warden made you!

I had a hard time picking the best one for our fashion police post, so please check out the rest at Absolutely Hilarious JCPenney Catalogue from 1977 | teamsugar - Women’s Social Network & Community..

Fashion Police Again!

Have you seen these jeans? That’s right, they’re super low-rise jeans with a denim bikini bottom straps.

What do you think? Is this a sexy new way to show a little skin in your jeans? Or uncomfortable and unattractive?

Mind The Gap

Let’s talk about gaps. No, I don’t mean the space between the the subway car and the platform. I mean another fashion faux pas for the ladies. (And fellows? Don’t think you’re off the hook! Oh no, there are plenty of fashion mistakes made by men!)

The first gap is a little extra skin showing at the wrist or ankle. You know what I’m talking about, when your sleeves or pants legs are just a tiny bit too short. This often happens when a taller women tries to find fitting clothes, or when we buy something only to find out too late that it shrinks in the wash. That gap in the wrists and ankles makes even a gorgeous woman look like a gawky teenager! An extra inch of fabric will make sure that you never look like a kid in a growth spurt!

No one wants to look like this, of course, but it can be hard to find jeans that are shaped like a real woman’s body. It’s hard enough for a woman who’s a little too round or a little too tall for a standard size, but it’s much harder for a woman who can’t shop in a regular store! What can we do to find flattering, comfortable jeans? Our Thimbler quality jeans will make sure you’ll never have this gap problem!

The second gap is much worse. We’ve all seen this one… when a girl in jeans sits down or bends over, and we suddenly see a lot more that we were expecting! We’ve all seen it! Don’t be that girl! Shop for Thimbler custom-fit jeans and never accidentally show skin!
