Start with your favorite pair of jeans, you know, that worn-out battered pair that you hate to have to replace.  Take the measurements of the inseam, and the outside leg. Then pick the style of your new jeans. Do you want flattering bootcut jeans?  Flares? Or basic straight leg?

Send Thimbler the inseam and outer leg measurements from your favorite jeans. Then measure your hips, and one of your thighs.  Measure where you want the waist of jeans to be. That’s right, you decide where the waist will be. You won’t have to try on a pair of jeans, only to find the waist is too high it digs into your stomach, or so low it gaps in the back.
